In this lesson we introduce OsiriX, covering the interface and the basic tools most used in daily practice and in endovascular planning. You will see: What OsiriX is and how it works with DICOM studies Differences between versions (free 32-bit, paid 64-bit and OsiriX MD) How to navigate the main screen (albums, study list, thumbnails and database) How to open and compare datasets (e.g., arterial and venous phases) and use synchronization Windowing adjustment (HU) with brightness/contrast and why "bone" helps in vascular imaging Why measuring only on the axial view can be misleading and how to use 3D MPR for slices perpendicular to the vessel Using MIP to measure extent (and why not to use it for diameter) Basics of organization (Albums/Smart Albums) and toolbar customization
